[Claim] Going to University of Hawaii

Dear CLAIM,

 

Although I'm sure some of you may have already heard, I would like to
formally inform you that I have resigned from the SPC to accept the
position of Pacific Specialist Librarian at the University of Hawaii
(UH).  I will be starting at UH at the end of April.

 

I am extremely grateful for the patience and support you provided as I
was figuring out how to be a Librarian.  Working and collaborating with
all of you has been the highlight of my work at the SPC.  I learned so
much from working with you at PIMRIS workshops, the 2008 IAMSLIC
meeting, RIF negotiations, the Joint Information Services Review, and,
of course, the CLAIM meetings.  Whether we were at a bar in Belgium, or
sitting in a conference room in Suva, I really appreciate how well we
all worked together. I hope to maintain these connections even from
distant Honolulu!  Even though UH is not a CROP I think there is lots of
potential to strengthen the relationship and possibly even work on some
collaborative projects.
