Dear colleagues,
1. I am writing to inform you that the Festival Evaluation team,
that I earlier introduced to you by email, will be getting in touch with
you shortly. The Owlhouse team (Bill Pennington, Joycelin Leahy and
Joyce Yeap-Holliday) has developed a Survey Questionnaire and we would
be extremely grateful if you could respond to the survey once Owlhouse
sends it out.
2. The team will be visiting the three most recent Festival host
countries: New Caledonia, Palau and American Samoa, as well as Papua New
Guinea, Kiribati and Samoa. They would very much like, however, to get
the views of all the Council of Pacific Arts members as well as those of
PIMA and the Pacific Arts Alliance, and therefore will be contacting you
all directly. They have developed questionnaires specifically for
Government Agencies responsible for arts and culture, National
Organisation Committees for the Festival, as well as for Community Arts
organizations.
3. Owlhouse will personally visit UNESCO, whose assistance with
this project has been invaluable, to discuss the important role that
UNESCO has played in assisting with the Festival, and will be directly
liaising with Dr Visesio Pongi, the Director of UNESCO Apia Office for
the Pacific.
4. Additionally, as part of the evaluation, HDP has archived all
the written materials on the Festival, as per the request made at the
21st meeting of the CPA, and a link to these will be made available once
the full HDP portal is up and running. In the meantime, they remain
available upon request addressed to either to HDP or to the SPC library.
If you would like any additional information or have any queries, do not
hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Elise
