ACPCultures+ au FESTIVAL DE CANNES 2011

Une présentation du nouveau Programme ACPCultures+ aura lieu le dimanche 15
mai 2011 à 16h00 sur le Pavillon Les Cinémas du Monde. 

Ce nouveau programme ACP-UE d'appui aux secteurs culturels ACP "ACPCULTURES+
" est ouvert à 78 pays du Groupe des États ACP, aux 27 États membres de
l'UE, aux États membres de l'Espace Économique Européens (EEE) et aux États
européens candidats à l'adhésion de l'UE. 

12 jeunes réalisateurs des pays du Sud, dont 4 en provenance des pays ACP,
sont invités à participer à un programme mis en place par le Pavillon Les
Cinémas du Monde pour favoriser l'émergence de nouveaux talents dans les
pays du Sud. 

Les réalisateurs ACP invités :

*	BÉNIN – Idrissou Mora Kpai, réalisateur
Indochine, sur les traces d’une mère, film documentaire projeté au Marché du
Film
*	CONGO-COLOMBIE – Gilbert Ndunga Nsangata, réalisateur et Jhonny
Hendrix, co-réalisateur et producteur
Ashes of pardon, projet en développement (documentaire)
*	SÉNÉGAL – Hubert laba Ndao, réalisateur
Dakar trottoirs, projet en développement
*	SÉNÉGAL – Didier Awadi, réalisateur et producteur
Le point de vue du lion, film documentaire projeté au Marché du Film

Le Pavillon Les Cinémas du Monde, en plein cœur du Village International,
est un lieu unique dédié à l’ensemble des cinématographies d’Afrique,
d’Asie, d’Amérique Latine, des Caraïbes, d’Europe Centrale et Orientale, du
Proche et du Moyen-Orient où se croisent artistes, professionnels et
institutions internationales. Il incarne, par sa mission, sa vocation,
l'idée même de diversité culturelle et sa réalité.

Des Focus seront consacrés à l'Afrique (le 16 mai), aux Caraïbes (le 17
mai).

Un premier Appel à Propositions a été lancé le 1er mars 2011 au FESPACO,
dans le cadre du programme ACPCULTURES+ et reste ouvert jusqu'au 30 juin
2011.

ACPCultures+ at the FESTIVAL DE CANNES 2011 

A presentation of the new ACPCultures+ Programme will take place this Sunday
May 15, 2011 on the Pavilion Les Cinémas du Monde.

This new ACP-EU Support Programme to the ACP cultural sectors, known as «
ACPCULTURES+ », is open to the 78 countries of the ACP Group of States, to
the 27 Member States of the European Union, to the Member States of the
European Economical Area (EEA) and to the new entry candidates to the
European Union.

12 young directors from the South, of which 4 from ACP countries, are
invited to take part in a Programme implemented by the Pavilion  Les Cinémas
du Monde to favor the emergence of new talents from the countries from the
South.

The invited ACP directors:

The Pavillon Les Cinémas du Monde, in the heart of the International
Village, is a unique place dedicated to all the cinematography’s of Africa,
Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, Central and Oriental Europe as well as
the Middle East, where artists, professionals and international institutions
meet. This location embodies, through its mission and its vocation, the
precise idea of cultural diversity and its reality.

Special Focus on Africa (May 16), and the Caribbean (May 17).

A first Call for Proposals has been launched on March 1, 2011 at the
FESPACO, 

and will remain open until June 30, 2011.
