Objet : Tafaoata Film Festival Dec 3rd-Dec 4th, 2011

 

Hello all!

This is just a friendly reminder that the Tafaoata Film Festival is on
NEXT weekend!!! Included in this email is the schedule of the Festival
Screenings and a brief synopsis of the films that will be offered.
Co-sponsored by Sundance Institute (USA) and The Film Institute (NZ), we
have an exciting selection of films that will be interesting and new to
you!
Tickets will be available through Magik Cinema (soon to be Apollo
Cinemas) and there are special discounts for attending more than one
session and all students are only $5!

Along with the screenings we will be hosting a workshop for people
interested in meeting Samoan directors, actors, and members of the
industry. There will be a "In front of the Camera" session and then a
"Behind the Camera" Session. This will be on Saturday, Dec 3rd from
9am-12pm. This is FREE and open to the public. All are welcome!!! 

Along with our Screenings and workshops we will also be hosting a
concert at the Tanoa Tusitala featuring Samoan Reggae master Fiji.
Tickets are available through Tanoa Tusitala and are $25 each.

We look forward to this being an annual event where members of the
public, film industry, and the South Pacific can meet, learn, and share.
