Dear PARBICAN friends

I am deeply saddened to hear of Misiwaini's passing. I enjoyed spending time with Misi in Samoa, and hearing about his family and interests. I had looked forward to the achievements he would make as the new Director of the Fiji National Archives. He was a good person and an impressive leader.

I too pass my condolences to Misi's family and the staff at the National Archives at this sad time.

Kua hinga he totara i te wao nui a Tane.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is with great sadness that I relay to you the sad news of the passing of our Director National Archives of Fiji,
Mr. Misiwaini Qereqeretabua.

He passed on yesterday, 04th December, 2011.

While Mrs Salesia Ikaniwai, a senior staff from National Archives of Fiji is on maternity leave, I am sorry to be the one to relay the sad news.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his dear family at this time of grief.
